Developmental Disabilities Awareness Manga

The University of Tsukuba’s DAC Center has hired a staff member with developmental disabilities (Mr. Dacs) from the 2019 academic year, and has commenced activities aimed at understanding and raising awareness of developmental disabilities through manga.
The manga will be posted on the DAC Center (Accessibility) Twitter feed as needed.

Also, comics distributed in the past are posted on this Twitter account.

“Humans have named it ‘developmental disabilities’!”

This is an educational manga about developmental disabilities written by Dax, a spokesperson for the DAC Center.
The manga features “Dacs-san”, who has various developmental disabilities, and other cute characters such as “Neko-san” with ASD, “Tori-san” with ADHD, and “Sakana-san” with LD, etc.
Please use the manga as an opportunity to understand and communicate regarding developmental disabilities.

In order to raise broader awareness and understanding of developmental disabilities through manga, a CC0 1.0 (Public Domain) license has been granted to the developmental disability awareness manga.

Therefore, you are free to download, copy, print, redistribute, and modify the manga images on this page without copyright concerns.

The downloadable (PDF and JPEG) files are also listed below, to:
